Save As

The Save As... option will allow you to save your work to a specifically named layout file.

How to

1. Click on File in the Main Menu with the left mouse button.
2. Click on Save As... and the following box will appear on your canvas:

   

   Filter: If you wish to change the directory to save the file to, then you must either:

   • Highlight the filter and type in the desired path, then click the Filter button to see what files are resident in the directory path.

   -OR-

   • Move around the directory structure by clicking on the <directory>/.. to move up one directory and hit the Filter button. A quick way of moving around is to just double-click on the entry.

   Save Layout File as name: You must enter a file name to save the layout file as. The default suffix of the filter is .obj.

   To enter the file name, move your cursor to point inside the selection box and click with the left most mouse button to allow for the addition of text to the Selection Box.

Special Characters

The following characters should not be used in file naming. These are special characters in UNIX shells:

OK: When you are satisfied with the name of the layout file and storage directory then click on OK with the left-most mouse button.

Cancel: If you want to cancel the Save As... option, click on Cancel with the left-most mouse button.
