Group

This option will allow you to put several objects together and treat them as one object. Grouping objects is convenient for moving, flipping, and rotating groups of objects as if they were a single object. Groups can contain other grouped objects and it has no visible effect on the output.

How to group a selection of objects

1. With the cursor in normal mode and on the canvas, click the left-most mouse button and drag an elastic box around the objects you are going to group together. Each object will appear to be selected.
2. Click on Layout in the Main Menu with the left-most mouse button.
3. Click on Group with the left-most mouse button. The "group" becomes one object.
