Color Table

The Color Table allows for modification to the default color table that comes with PlotShop. The colors are defined by RGB (Red, Green, Blue) values on a scale 0-65280.

If a color intensive file has been imported on the canvas, you will not be able to make changes to the Color Table. Most color CGMs are color intensive even though only a few colors appear on the screen.

If this happens, save the object file, exit PlotShop, restart PlotShop, edit the Color Table and then open the object file to continue working.

How to use the color table

  1. Click on Format with the left-most mouse button.
  2. Click on Color Table with the left-most mouse button and the following will appear:

How to edit a color

  1. Select the desired Color Cell in the color table that is to be altered (0-50).
  2. Adjust the RGB Values to acquire a new color. The shaded areas will change color according to the adjustments.
  3. Click OK if you want the color RGB values to become active in the PlotShop program.

    Click Resume to use the color values found in the DEFAULT.ctb.

    Click Cancel if you wish to nullify the changes made to the active color table and dismiss the window.

    Click Save if you wish to apply the changes made to the ACTIVE color table.

    Click Save As... if you wish to save the changes made to the active color table under a different color table name for future use.

    Click Done when you are finished editing the color table and want to dismiss the window.
