Zoom Area

The Zoom Area icon is used to enlarge the contents of the canvas while keeping the selected area in the viewport. The viewport is the area of the canvas shown on the active screen. This option is the only zoom feature that allows the user to control the viewport area.

How to zoom in on an area

  1. Select the Zoom Area icon with the left-most mouse button.
  2. Move the cursor to the canvas. The cursor will look like a magnifying glass with a "+" sign.
  3. Draw an elastic box around the area you wish to zoom in on and focus on the screen.

To draw an elastic box you must determine one of the corners of the box. Click the left-most mouse button on one of the corners and drag to the opposite corner. To cease drawing of the elastic box, release the mouse button.
