Rectangle

Once you have selected the rectangle option, you will be able to draw rectangles until you either dismiss the cursor from drawing back to normal canvas cursor operation, or select another draw option.

The rectangle will be drawn with the Line Type, Line Width, Patterns, and Color Table selections that are active in the Attributes Toolbar. These can be changed before or after drawing the rectangle.

How to

1. Click on Draw in the Main Menu with the left-most mouse button.
2. Click on Rectangle with the left-most mouse button.
3. Move the cursor onto the canvas. The cursor will look like a pencil.
4. Click on the left-most mouse button, hold and drag to draw the rectangle. As you drag, the rectangle will form with one corner fixed where you began the rectangle and the rectangle shape will follow the cursor.
5. To stop drawing the rectangle, release the left-most mouse button.
6. (Optional) To draw another rectangle, go to step 4.
