Export...

The Export option only saves the objects on the current canvas into a CGM formatted file in a given directory with a given name.

You are only allowed to use the export function if something is on the canvas.

How to

  1. Click on File in the Main Menu with the left-most mouse button.
  2. Click on Export... and the following box will appear on your canvas:

    Filter: If you wish to save the CGM file to another directory, then to change directories you must either:

    -OR-

    Export file name: You must enter a file name for the merged CGM. All CGM files will be tagged with a suffix of .cgm.

    If you wish to save the CGM in the current directory shown in the Selection Box then move your cursor to point inside the Selection Box and click with the left-most mouse button and type in the file name of the CGM.

The following characters should not be used in file naming. These are special characters in UNIX shells:

OK: When you are satisfied with the name of the layout file and storage directory then click on OK with the left-most mouse button.

Cancel: If you want to cancel the Save As... option, click on Cancel with the left-most mouse button.
