CGM Drawings Meet Latest Standards in Defense.

Industry Challenge:
Today's Defense and Aerospace industries are in cooperation on an unprecedented scale between different branches of the services, equipment manufacturers, and suppliers.

With cooperation comes the need to develop and deliver data that can be read and used across disparate systems. The recent push to adopt the S1000D standard for technical information among European and US defense industry participants is enabling data exchange to become a foundation of cooperation.

To facilitate the digital exchange of technical illustrations, the S1000D standard specifies "Computer Graphics Metafiles" as an open international graphics standard, designed to enable seamless transfer of drawings and associated data from one system to another.
